By using typenihongo.com you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

The service

TypeNihongo helps you learn Japanese by typing. Typing practice is free. Some features — AI lessons and Pro membership — are paid. We work hard to keep lessons accurate, but AI-generated content can contain mistakes; please don’t rely on it for anything where an error would matter.

Your account

You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity on your account. Don’t misuse the service: no automated scraping, attempts to get around credit limits, or using AI lessons to generate harmful content. We may suspend accounts that do.

Credits

• Signed-in learners get 3 free AI credits each day (reset at 00:00 UTC). Unused daily credits don’t carry over.
• Credit packs never expire. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred.
• If an AI lesson fails, the credit is refunded automatically.

Pro membership

• Pro includes 300 AI credits every 30 days (on yearly plans too) and your full progress history. Monthly allowance credits don’t roll over.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account page; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. If something went wrong with a charge, email us within 14 days and we’ll make it right. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
